Billboard Music Awards & Met Gala Fashion Favorites 2014

BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS 2014 FASHION FAVORITES

1. Kendall and Kylie Jenner

I thought both Kendall and Kylie Jenner looked amazing at the Billboards Music Awards. They both showed off their individual styles, but still had that connecting element of white that they both wore. I think Kendall's statement piece was her black sequined cropped pants. I think the fact that she paired the eye-popping pants with a plain white cut-out halter top and silver stilettos was the perfect choice. She could literally wear anything and she would still look stunning.

Now on to Kylie Jenner. Although I love Kendall's outfit a little better, I think Kylie's turquoise ombré hair is what really stood out for me. I think her edgy style is shining through in a toned-down elegant way. Her white cocktail dress looks great on her, but I am not a huge fan of her ballerina inspired heels. However, I think her statement hair style and color is what really pulls the look together to give the look a POP! Also, both Kendall and Kylie's makeup looks AMAZING! I am a huge fan of the natural glowy goddess makeup look, so I think they knocked it out of the park.

2. Kesha

For Kesha, I liked how she is starting to change her fashion choices to ones that are less outrageous and more elegant. I love her fresh faced makeup look with her pale pink hair. I think her dress still shows her rebellious rock side to her, but in a way that people can relate to and want to wear themselves.

3. Carrie Underwood

Umm can we just talk about Carrie Underwood's legs for a second? I think that she could wear anything and still look fabulous. I love black and gold together, so I am a huge fan of this look. Personally, I am not a huge fan of the polka dots, but I think the belt and heels really bring this look to life. I think she looks stunning and plus she's pulling an Angelina Jolie leg pose and who can't love that?!

MET GALA 2014 FASHION FAVORITES

4. Selena Gomez

I am in love with this look! My favorite color is maroon/ burgundy, so you can tell why I love this dress so much. I think Selena was spot on with her hair, makeup, dress and earrings. Her form fitting mermaid gown looked amazing on her and it looked great with her pulled back low bun hairstyle. I think the way she matched the geometric shapes in the earrings to the ruching on the strap of her gown was a great pairing. The whole look with her makeup exudes a romantic vide, which I really love.

5. Jessica Alba

Like I said before, I am a huge fan of the glowy goddess look, whether it be as a dress or in makeup, I love it all! I think Jessica Alba glows in her ivory lace gown. Her caramel hair color and slick un-do add to the romantic goddess look that she seems to be going for. Jessica's makeup looks flawless and her earring add to her feminine look.

6. Blake Lively

Blake Lively looks stunning in her pale pink shimmery gown along side her man Ryan Reynolds. Her side swept curly waves and rose colored lipstick look great with her gown and screams elegance. I love the pop of burgundy in her bold ring and earrings and overall I think she looks phenomenal!

7. Rihanna

Lastly, I think Rihanna look gorgeous in her floor-length white ensemble. With a lady not afraid of taking risks, I think she showed off her body with elegance. I love the long sleeves and the pop of sparkle at the neck. I think her messy up-do hairstyles adds an edge to the look and works well with her natural makeup look. I think she looked stunning and out-shined a lot of celebrities and models that were in attendance at the Met Gala.

I hope you all enjoyed my post! I thought I would try something a little different than my past posts for a change because as a lover of fashion, award shows are something I look forward to watching every year. I thought I would share some of my favorite looks from the most recent events, the Met Gala and the Billboard Music Awards! I hope everyone has a great week!

Back to the Beach

Hi guys! I hope everyone had a great weekend and Mother's Day! My family and I spent our first official weekend in Maine at our Summer cottage and it was so rejuvenating. After packing everything up at my college dorm and transferring it all back to my house, it was nice to get away and relax in a place so close to the ocean. My family and I love to take morning walks at Ogunquit Beach, so of course we did just that. The weekend turned out to be beautiful especially on Sunday, so I took some photos of the beach, the scenery, and some little miscellaneous things that I happened to stumble upon! I hope you enjoy and I hope everyone has a great week!

Meet my dog Conrad!

This is a picture I took about a week ago in Boston, so I just thought I would include it!

Taking a stroll in downtown Ogunquit

On Mother's Day, my family and I took my mom out to brunch at this great restaurant called Merriland Farms Cafe. It was right next to a golf course, so the scenery was beautiful!

Dress for Success

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. With finals and essay assignments in full force a week ago, I was trying to focus on those, so I could end my first year of college on a good note. Now, with those out of the way, I can officially say that I finished my first year of college and can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life! It was definitely a transition phase at first with moving in to a city and adjusting to living with someone I have never lived with before, but I was surprised how fast I adjusted to the college lifestyle and made the best of it. I couldn't have asked for a better roommate for my first year of college. (shoutout to Nicole!) I remember meeting her the day of orientation in the parking lot because we both drove to the college because we live fairly close to the college already. I remember we both did not know where to go, so we both just stuck together during check-in and when room assignments came along, we were assigned to room together for our two-night stay at orientation. After mingling around and meeting a bunch of great people, we ended up talking the first night until 2 in the morning just getting to know each other. We realized that we had so much in common, so we decided to actually room together for our freshman year of college. I can honestly say she was a great roommate and definitely contributed to making my freshman year a great one!

The friendships I have made during my college journey, I can honestly say will last a lifetime. I have met so many amazing and genuine people that made my freshman year worthwhile. I cannot wait until sophomore year and to go back to the school that made a lasting impact on me and the people that I have shared many fond memories with!

Enough with the sappiness haha. I decided to take some photos of some Spring/Summer fashion! I took photos of my sister Daria's outfit that she wore on Easter and she then took photos of my outfit as well! I hope you enjoy and I wish everyone the best of luck on their finals and if you are done, welcome to the start of Summer!
