Color My Mind

There's something about sunsets that really makes me happy and calm. The way the colors mix and glide with such ease soothes the mind. The fact that colors in the sky puts people in awe is amazing. When the sun sets is my favorite time of day. I feel that the beautiful disappearance of the sun is overlooked by many.

Looking at the symbolism of a sunset in a broader spectrum, it symbolizes the end of a chapter and the start of a new one. I love taking pictures, so when the sun sets, I tend to stop and try to capture the moment although the beauty of it is much more real in person. This summer I have seen some breathtaking sunsets and now that most students are back to school, their lives are transitioning. Sunsets symbolize the day coming to an end, but gives us the hope that a new day will start again, so we can see the Earth's beauty once more.
"When the sun has set, no candle can replace it."
                                                                                          - George R.R. Martin

May the start of a new chapter begin.
